But that’s not what’s happening. Energy firms are taking more in direct debits than they need to, sitting on money that belongs to you. It’s time to claim it back.

Recent figures show that energy firms are sitting on £3 billion of our money, even as households are counting every penny to make ends meet. It’s yet another symptom of the broken energy system that this government has failed to fix.
If we all claim back our credit as part of a coordinated moment, we can turn it into a movement for a better energy system. Together we can take the power back, and show that we’re fed up with energy companies taking us for a ride. And it will show this government that we are fed up with their inaction.
